Yoga & Mindfulness for Kids
Yoga and Mindfulness for children is great preparation for life. It aims to teach children how to deal with difficult emotions, how to relax, how to connect with their heart and with nature.
On the classes we use different types of yoga and mindfulness techniques like playing mindful games, learning yoga poses, storytelling, arts & crafts, and even practicing mindful eating. This class is designed for children up to 10 years of age to assist them with developing healthy physical body and positive mental attitude at the start of their lives.
Yoga can be introduced to children in one of the following ways:
Yoga on the Wellness or Sport Days
Weekly Yoga Classes during school hours for set number of weeks
After School Club Yoga
Yoga and mindfulness for themed activities days
Intervention teaching for vulnerable learners
Yoga and mindfulness to engage students in the PE curriculum
